We have been designing and manufacturing units for the media industry for more than 30 years and believe we have established a reputation for quality and durability which is second to none. Our vehicles can be found in all regions of the world and operate in extremes of temperature from +50deg C. to -30deg C.
Typical products are:
Large outside broadcast vehicles on semi trailers with two, three or even four expanding sides
Medium sized rigid trucks
Panel van conversions for SNG vehicles.
For the larger vehicles we typically incorporate our own bespoke air-conditioning system, which has the advantages of efficient space utilisation and a built in back-up system.
Features of an ASGB OB Truck
Flexible design allowing client to customise and incorporate innovation.
Complete to a rack ready status for client to plug in broadcasting equipment.
Hydraulically driven expanding sides renowned for their strength and reliability.
Expansions can be two stage per side as well as at front or rear.
Quick deployment with no detachable interior items.
Easily maintainable Air Conditioning systems using custom built chilled water to 90kW or standard manufactured gas units up to 60kW.
PLC based graphical touch screen controls with remote diagnostics option.
Any choice of material for interior finishes.
Can supply and fit support equipment including customised cable reel assemblies.
Experienced in the building of support vehicles for power generation and for the transportation of equipment and crew.
AIR CONDITIONING
It is essential to maintain a comfortable working environment for both occupants and equipment within our Outside Broadcast vehicles. We consider both the best system to suit the demands of the environment, and the preferences of our customers. We can fit either our own designed and constructed system or an ‘off the shelf’ system. Generally our own designed systems provide a higher power solution within a smaller space in the vehicle. Whereas ‘off the shelf’ systems provide a solution more familiar to normal air conditioning engineers. The later can therefore be easier to support in all areas of the world.
Our Chilled Water System
Our chilled water system uses 2-3 compressors which cool a common circulating water system. The chilled water is then used in the air handlers to cool the air within the vehicle. The system will only operate the number of compressors required to satisfy the cooling demands. The additional benefit of this approach is that in the unlikely event of a compressor failure the system can still provide cooling to the whole vehicle by using the remaining compressors.
‘Off-the-Shelf’ Systems
We can also fit a more standard split gas system. These are usually supplied by companies such as Daikin and comprise a complementary internal air handler and external condenser/compressor unit. This solution is similar to an office air conditioning system and can therefore be more easily supported by any air conditioning company with knowledge of office systems.
