HD Outside Broadcast unit completed for Studiovision in Lebanon

June 29th, 2013

We have recently completed the second trailer for Studiovision in Lebanon. The tri-axle 13.2 metre long trailer at 4 metres high with a 900mm and 1200 mm expansion creates space to allow 18 operators to be seated in comfort at desks finished with carbon fibre. The entire vehicle including the Volvo tractor unit was completed in the client’s corporate livery, painted in two tone metallic paintwork within our own paintshop and finished with the client’s logo.

The unit was supplied rack ready for broadcast equipment integration and features rear rack access doors and platforms, on board UPS’s, a walk on roof with handrails and motorised cable reels. These Audio, Production, Engineering and CAR room areas are all individually climate controlled with air conditioning using standard units supplying 45kW of cooling and operate between -5 °C to +40 °C.

This truck uses our ground breaking expanding side technology to operate both expansions through our robust hydraulic system but without the need for heavy mechanical rack and pinions and instead uses our state of the art control system (with manual back up) to ensure the absolute accuracy of each expansion.

Choucri Corban Technical Manager of Studiovision said “The minute I saw our trailer I was really amazed by the perfect finishing starting from the outside as well as the inside, walls, racks and desks. Even the electrical work and the hydraulics were perfect. Our experience with ASGB was not the first, we came back and ordered our second OB because of the premium work ASGB always provide.”

Our handmade coach body uses composite panels and a steel framework adhesively bonding insulation, plywood, steel sub structure and a GRP external layer. The lower part or skirt utilises an aluminium outer skin with locker doors seamlessly integrated into the skirt line with hidden hinges to provide excellent access and beautifully clean lines.

To complete delivery, ASGB will carry out an in country hand over and operator training with on going support and maintenance being supplied by our service team.
